New York Professional American Football

Based on the New York metropolitan area, New York jets team of American professional football. They are members of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC), the National Football League (NFL). They play their home games in East Rutherford, New Jersey Giants Stadium, after the name of another NFL team, New York Giants. In the Jets officially refer to the location as "Meadowlands," the official name used on all NFL and team game notes regarding Jets home game.

Club headquarters, located in the Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, on Long Island. They are building a new training center and headquarters in the company-Florham Park, New Jersey.

As the jet began in 1960 as a member of the American Football League with the New York Titans. Sonny Werblin changed the team after the purchase in 1963, and then he joined the NFL in the AFL-NFL merger.

Jets hold on the characteristics of the first AFL team to win the NFL club in the AFL-NFL World Championship Game when they defeated the Baltimore Colts Super Bowl III.

Franchise History
Originally known as the New York Titans, a team who play home games in the basic polo. After 5 .- 9. in the 1962 season, the team in the future was clear. The group headed by MCA head Sonny Werblin and Leon Hess, purchased the team from Harry Wismer to 13 March 1964, he was saved from destruction. Hess eventually buy him out of partners, and saved only owned up to his death. His estate sold the team and Johnson & Johnson heir Robert Wood Johnson IV in 2000.
